Our History
Grand Union is a merger of three practices, one which was located on the same street at Paddington Station and just a few blocks away.
About Paddington
Paddington is an area, in Westminster, which has a number of well known landmarks and history. It is home to St Marys Hospital, Paddington Station, Paddington Basin and the Grand Union Canal.

How far is the practice from Paddington Station?
The practice is about 600 metres from Paddington Station.
Can I use pharmacies in Paddington station?
Yes - we send via Electronic Prescription medicines to all the pharmacies in Paddington Station.
Will any patient need to go to Paddington for treatment?
Our local hospital, as in one of our closest hospitals, is in Paddington and called St Marys. All our XRays take place either at St Marys.
Do you have links with the hospital in Paddington?
We have very close links with the consultants at St Marys and we have a monthly Paediatric Clinic from them in the practice at the Grand Union Site.
Can you walk from Paddington to the practice?
Yes it is in walking distance and lots of our patients walk, other take the bus or tube and we have excellent links with public transport.
When are you open?
We are open Monday-Friday 8am to 6.30pm – but we do have appointments available over the weekend. You can book them in advance, or during the weekend via the NHS app. These appointments are located at St Charles Hospital in Ladbroke Grove.
Can you make referrals?
Yes our doctors, nurses and pharmacists can make both NHS referrals, when it fits the eligibility criteria, or Private referrals.
Can you take Blood Samples?
Yes we can take blood tests and have a wonderful team of four health care assistants who take blood daily.
Do you prescribe Medicines and where can you send them to?
Our doctors, and some of our prescribing pharmacists, can prescribe medicines. We can then send the medication to your NHS pharmacy of choice. Please let us know which is your chosen pharmacy
What type of appointments Do you provide?
We do appointments both face to face and on the phone. We do not consult by email.
How do I make an appointment?
The easiest way to make a doctors appointment is via the NHS app. If you cant find the appointment you want via the app, you can always call the practice on 02072861231
How long does it take for your calls to be answered?
We answer on average each call in less than 5 minutes. Sometimes it can be much less.
