Travel Health/Holiday Vaccines

If you’re planning to travel abroad, our travel health assessment service allows you to speak with one of our specialist nurses for travel vaccination advice and, if recommended, to book your vaccinations.

We advise booking your appointment at least 6 to 8 weeks prior to your departure date.

The first step is to call 0207 286 1231 and book a telephone appointment with one of our nurses. You can also request an appointment online.

In the telephone appointment

The nurse may recommend various vaccinations based on your:

  • travel destination
  • length of trip
  • medical history
  • planned activities

If the nurse recommends any vaccinations, they will book an appropriate appointment.

Vaccinations

Grand Union Health Centre provides both NHS and private travel vaccinations.

NHS travel vaccinations

NHS travel vaccines are free of charge.

The vaccines available are:
  • Hepatitis A
  • Typhoid Fever
  • Polio (as part of tetanus/diphtheria/polio booster)
  • Cholera if indicated for your travel plans

Private travel vaccinations

You will need to pay for any private vaccines. The nurse will tell you the cost of the vaccines before you book.

When you arrive at the practice, one of our receptionists will take any payments before your appointment.

Note, we only accept payment via debit or credit card and we are unable to accept cash.

We cannot give the vaccines without prior payment.
