Named GP

Your Named GP

The surgery assigns each patient a named GP. This GP is responsible for your care and support.

To balance the workload among our doctors, we need to divide patients evenly. We selected patients by surname to match them with a doctor fairly.

Some patients may prefer a specific doctor. If you have a preference, we will try to meet your request. However, this system does not stop you from seeing any GP in the practice, as you do now. Your named GP may not always be available.

You don’t need to take any action. You will be informed of your named GP soon. If you want to know your accountable GP’s name, please ask the receptionists during your next visit.
